Normally Andy and I break up the schedule by team. This season the schedule was very difficult to put together and we may do that this weekend. If team Captains want to help, please email me, jparadise@gmail.com a listing of their teams’ schedule and Andy or I will post it.
Please note that to allow for bye weeks Rec and Club were extended to 10 games. The 10th match will not be made up in the event of a rain out.

Some random things:
- The schedule for Sunday’s matches will go up tomorrow night. The full schedule will go up Thursday night.
- To keep Premier balanced, Giles has instituted a +-3 maximum GD for matches. The board will come up with a long term solution this winter.
- Premier and Club are full. Rec has 3 or less spots remaining.
- I don’t know how to say this any other way: please stop registering late. The majority of players sign up on time, and we appreciate that. But we had well over 50 players sign up after registration closes. That’s almost 20% of our league. We have had to turn away several players because we are full. If everyone had signed up on time, we would have known we could actually have made eight teams in Rec and Club. But the reality of it is unless we postponed the start of the season a week, we had to cut off the number of teams so I can do scheduling and for rosters to be printed. Next season we will be implementing the late fee we have mentioned in the past. We’d prefer not to do that–we want to have cheap soccer for everyone.

Ugh. Here’s the skinny: Club dropped to 7 teams, all nearly full but not enough for 8. Premier is sitting at 7 teams, and Rec is a solid 7 teams too.
We’ve had one Division with odd numbers less then 4 times in almost 25 years. Multiple Divisions with odds has probably never occurred.
Here’s how we proceed:
- Teams will have bye weekend(s).
- Club’s first 2 games will be friendlies to accommodate the bye weeks.
- Teams will have double headers. I will try for Sat/Sun matches; however, a true doubleheader may be necessary for Premier and Club teams only.
- The regular season will be extended into the first weekend of November with a last match date of November 14.
- LASL will always give you the number of games you pay for. This season we have to reserve the right to make up matches missed in Spring 2011. I will attempt to avoid this at all costs, but having to run 2 bye teams and double headers will be difficult at best.
- On the other hand, if we have permits that far ahead, weather is good, and teams stay this full, we may be able to extend the season a game.
